Virtual production is not a predetermined technical workflow. Every project begins with the experience we want to create:

That might mean translating a performer into an expressive digital avatar through motion capture, preserving their physical presence with volumetric video, combining live performance with real-time environments on an LED stage, or bringing remote audiences together inside a shared virtual space.

Audience Interaction

The Dream Machine
Created by Nona Hendryx and designed in collaboration with EyeJack co-founder Sutu, The Dream Machine demonstrates how performance, immersive storytelling and audience participation can come together inside a shared virtual experience.
The project included 16 virtual worlds and nine AR activations featuring George Clinton, Laurie Anderson, Vernon Reid, Skin of Skunk Anansie, Bina48 and other collaborators. Each artist received a distinctive world and avatar identity inspired by their music, aesthetics and legacy.
At Lincoln Center in 2024, The Dream Machine sold out daily throughout its three-week season and welcomed more than 4,000 visitors.
Audiences explored fantastical environments before joining virtual performances featuring motion-captured characters, animated audio-reactive worlds and networked avatars. Visitors could run, jump, interact with virtual objects and generate visual effects through actions such as clapping.

EyeJack also developed a collaborative sound garden where visitors could make music together, along with a bespoke live-performance instrument that allowed Hendryx to control music, vocals, animation and audience interaction in real time.
