Mandurah Visitor Centre

Spatial Storytelling

In collaboration with Mandurah Visitor Centre, EyeJack created two spatial experiences that tell the story of Mandurah's Aboriginal heritage. Located at Mandurah Visitor Centre and Mandjar Bay, visitors are invited to embark on an animated journey through the rich cultural tapestry woven into the land, guided by the timeless wisdom of the Noongar people.

Story of Bindjareb Boodja

A large mural artwork was created for the Mandurah Visitor Centre, capturing the essence of the region's natural beauty, with vivid depictions of its waterways and wildlife. The story of Bindjareb Boodja comes to life through Augmented Reality, offering visitors an immersive journey through the region's history, narrated by George Walley in both Noongar and English.

Yaburgurt Sculpture

The public artwork overlooking Mandjar Bay honours Aboriginal leader Yaburgurt, known as George Winjan. It highlights Mandurah's Aboriginal heritage with glass panels depicting the six Noongar seasons and community-inspired designs. Visitors can explore the seasons' stories with Augmented Reality, providing more insight into the artwork and the Noongar people's connection to nature's cyclical rhythm that shapes their way of life.
